This score is the result of a yearlong project undertaken by 12 composer members of C3LA: Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles to create a live a cappella score for Jean Epstein’s 1928 surreal silent film adaptation, La Chute de la Maison Usher (The Fall of the House of Usher).

The uniqueness of this chord dictionary is that each chord is written specifically for the requinto. This chord dictionary is suitable for requinto players of all levels—from beginners to advanced. It contains over 900 chords and includes 27 chord types that I recommend for playing pasillos, guajiras, boleros, etc., of the Trío Romántico (also known as the Trío Bolero) style. The chord types range from basic major and minor chords to challenging chords such as thirteenth and augmented-ninth chords. This dictionary proposes to develop the chord vocabulary, in addition to the musicianship skills, of the requinto guitarist.
